Where we operate

We operate all year round from Dartmouth, in the English county of South Devon, nestled at the mouth of the River Dart.

There are many car parks within walking distance of the harbour pier from where our boat may be boarded.

The nearest rail stations are at Totnes (Network Rail) where a bus service to Dartmouth operates every hour, or Kingswear (Heritage Line Steam Train) where a Water Taxi service will take you across the river to Dartmouth.

The closest airport is at Exeter with daily International Flights.

Wesley boats

The Samuel Wesley, a Mersey-Class vessel built in 1990 for the RNLI, is a perfect example of the way lifeboats see most aspects of human life, from beginning to end – as well as most of the events in between!

Originally named the Lincolnshire Poacher, she had an active service life stationed in Skegness, Anstruther & Rhyl before being retired in 2020.  She is the first of our fleet which are all connected by the Wesley nomenclature.

Mersey-class lifeboats are versatile all-weather vessels still operated by the RNLI along the coasts of Great Britain and Ireland. Our boats have been specially adapted to comfortably accommodate up to ten guests & two crew led by an experienced Coxswain.
